SOHO Tower

The SOHO Tower is a striking architectural statement rising in northwestern Tirana, near the intersection of Muhamet Gjollesha and Durres Street. Positioned adjacent to the prominent “Zogu i Zi” square, the tower commands a strong presence in the city’s skyline, with its eastern façade opening toward Muhamet Gjollesha and its remaining sides embraced by surrounding multi-storey developments.

The tower’s design is defined by a bold vertical gesture—a linear, sculptural form that integrates fluidly with the urban context. Its orientation has been meticulously studied to optimize thermal performance, aligning with Tirana’s prevailing winds and ensuring natural light and ventilation for interior spaces, particularly along the northwest and southeast axes.

The SOHO Tower is organized into four distinct vertical sections, each with its own identity and purpose. These volumes are expressed through variations in height, green interventions, and articulated service zones at the base, creating a rhythmic architectural language that adds both dynamism and coherence to the whole. The western section houses a refined hotel component, offering sweeping views across Tirana and its surrounding hills—an elegant and restful retreat for visitors. The eastern section is dedicated to commercial spaces, providing flexible options for both retail and work environments, activating the tower’s urban edges. The remaining sections are residential, featuring thoughtfully designed apartments that make the most of the building’s elongated form and optimal orientation. More than just a mixed-use building, the SOHO Tower stands as a modern landmark—balancing form, function, and context while contributing a distinctive silhouette to Tirana’s evolving cityscape.
