VIA (Vlora International Airport)

Vlora International Airport is a major infrastructure project located in southern Albania, set to open in autumn 2025. Positioned near the vibrant coastal city of Vlora, the airport is poised to become a vital gateway to the Albanian Riviera and a catalyst for regional development.

Designed by X Plan Studio, the project encompasses the full masterplan and architectural volumes, including the main Terminal building, Control Tower, Firefighting Station, and other key support facilities. At the heart of the complex, the Terminal emerges as the architectural centerpiece—an elegant structure inspired by the gentle curves of ocean waves, reflecting the city’s deep connection to the sea.

Rising to a maximum height of 23 meters and spanning 14,000 square meters, the Terminal’s fluid form and light-filled interiors establish a welcoming and iconic presence. The entire airport is conceived in strict accordance with international and national aviation standards, ensuring full compliance with operational, safety, and technical certifications.

Vlora International Airport is not only a transportation hub—it represents a new chapter for southern Albania, blending cutting-edge infrastructure with contextual architectural expression to elevate the nation’s connectivity and global reach.
